Information about sounds week of 10.10.11

As we introduce each letter we would like the children to
 
1) Say (stretch, or bounce) each sound
2) Associate each sound with a picture. (They can find each letter sound they need displayed round the class.)
3) Remember the shape of each letter so they can use it to write with. (blending green words )
4) Write down each letter shape using correct cursive script

The letters we are covering this week are

c k u b

c : bounce c-c-c-caterpillar ( for handwriting say “and . . .curl back around the caterpillar - c”)

k : bounce k-k-k-kangaroo ( for handwriting say “and . . . down the kangaroo's body, back up round his tail, and down his kicking leg – k”)

u : bounce u-u-u-umbrella (for handwriting say “and . . .down and under, up the other side and draw the puddle - u”)

b : bounce b-b-b-boot (for handwriting say “ and . . .down the laces to the heels and over the toes - b”)

Please use early morning sessions to ask about any of this.
