Brockenhurst girls monopolise Hampshire County Table Tennis Championships (updated 22.2.12)

Three children from Brockenhurst earned themselves a place in the Hampshire County Championship table tennis finals on Friday.

In the girls event Amber and Katie played solidly throughout their competition to ensure an all Brockenhurst final. Amber made Katie work, forcing some close games, but the talent of the Brockenhurst no. 1 seed and the unquestionalble dedication to her training and her sport saw Katie crowned as County Champion, with Amber taking the silver medal position.

Jules Holden gained valuable experience against older oposition, but held his nerve to finish 11th in the under 11 competition. Very well done to all players and good luck to the girls as they are joined by team mates Molly, Lucy and Emily in the Regional finals of the English Schools team championships this Saturday (25.2.12)
